Horticulture Industry Vision Report & Ideas Lab Comes to Dublin Today

By October 27, 2017No Comments

It’s been a very productive past few weeks. As Coordinator of the Horticulture Industry Forum (HIF) I was commissioned to compile a “Vision” report for the industry. The report including it’s 24 recommendations was approved by a Full Forum meeting last week. The Forum is Co-chaired by the Minister of Horticulture and the Chair of the HIF. The Vision report will now act as the work agenda for the HIF in the coming weeks and months ahead.

I’m delighted that the report was so positively received and now, as I write, I’m really looking forward as Event Moderator of the EU Ideas Lab , which starts this evening in the historical setting of the Law Society in Dublin and concludes very late tomorrow.

There will be over 150 participants taking part with about 100 “Changemakers” (independent people and NGOs who are working for sustainable change) and 50 Green Party, MEPs, TDs, MLA’s, MSPs and party members. I’ve been working with a great team preparing for today and now we’re ready to press the “go” button.  It will be a highly interactive event and you can follow the event using #EUIdeasLab on Twitter.
