I’ve been privileged again this year to act as a judge for the 2017 IBYE competition. The winners of the Fingal “IBYE” final will be announced this Thursday in County Hall Swords. The other two judges and I spent 2 days considering the applications and receiving the pitches of the 15 finalists. It was an exhilarating experience.
2016 IBYE Final in Google HQ Dublin
The talent, entrepreneurial flare, skill, persistence and passion of each of the finalists was remarkable. There are three separate categories 1) Best idea, 2) Best Start-up and 3) Best Established. The winner of each category will go on to represent Fingal in the Dublin regional final at the end of January. I will be surprised if one of the Fingal winners does not succeed at Dublin level and go on to the national final in Google’s HQ next Spring. We have a wealth of young business talent in Fingal and I wish all 15 finalists good luck for Thursday night!
