ked out of the category winners. I was struck by the number of Green Economy finalists and delighted to see a local Fingal man Samuel Dennigan winning the “Best New Start Up” with his Strong Roots http://strongroots.ie/ high quality frozen vegetables unique food business. When pitching for the award Samuel made strong reference to his family’s tradition of vegetable growing, from where he developed his passion for food. The overall winner of the competition Ciara Clancy of Beats Medical https://www.beatsmedical.com/ has developed an amazing App that provides individually tailored physiotherapy, speech and language and occupational therapy exercises through mobile phones in 40 countries, for people suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. Ciara is now also developing digital treatments for other neurological conditions such as MS, Stroke, Dyspraxia and Cerebral Palsy. An amazing woman!

This week was also Local Enterprise Week and there were some great evens held across the country particularly in Fingal https://www.localenterprise.ie/Fingal/Training-Events/Enterprise-Week-2017/ . Last night I attended the Fearless 2017, which showcased 8 of the best entrepreneurs in Fingal and Hope Craft Beer http://hopebeer.ie/ came out on top!
