The Mediation Bill and Brexit

By June 6, 2017No Comments

My work in May involved a good deal of political related work. As PR consultant to the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII), I have been coordinating the MII’s efforts to improve the Mediation Bill 2017, which has now reached committee stage. This also involved a day in Leinster House, meeting a number of the members of the Dáil’s Select Committee on Justice and Equality.

Earlier in May, I facilitated a Brexit conference https://www.localenterprise.ie/Fingal/Fingal/News/Brexit-Moving-into-the-new-Europe-for-SMEs.html for SME’s organised by Europe Direct and Fingal County Council Libraries. It was a lively event, which apart from listening to the excellent speakers, involved business owners engaging in work-group sessions. Although it will take quite a long time before the effects of Brexit on business become clear, business owners found it very beneficial to have the opportunity to share their concerns on Brexit and the event enabled them to begin planning their strategies to cope with the changes that will emerge.
